Maspar opens flagship store in Delhi's South Ex Maspar opened its eighth store of contemporary home furnishings at Delhi’s prime market, South Extension on Thursday, the 22nd Nov. The launch was serenaded by budding teen ballerinas dressed in costumes made from Maspar fabrics. Sprawling over 3500 sqft, the flagship store carries Maspar’s wide range of home fashion. Promoter & CEO, Mr Rajesh Mahajan who was the chief host said, “We at Maspar believe in innovation and quality and keep this factor in mind; our designs are carefully selected and fabricated in such a manner that each product narrates a unique story. We have a wide array of designs and caters to a wide audience with varied tastes. Hopefully our presence at this centrally located store will also carve a niche among the contemporary, urban and fashion conscious buyers of South Delhi.” Maspar’s next store is to open next month at the Ishanya, a specialty mall for interiors at Pune.

Carrefour entry targeted for 2009
According to a French Newspaper, La Tribune, Carrefour is targeting its India entry for 2009. With FDI restrictions in India unlikely to ease, their entry strategy is to take the wholesale ‘cash-n-carry’ route like Metro and Shoprite. Three local partners have been short listed for the front end retail stores.

Radhakrishna to open 10 Caffé Ritazza
The Rs 400cr food service provider, Radhakrishna Hospitality is planning to accelerate the expansion of its retail arm under the nameplate Caffe Ritazza. Ten will be opened in the next year and a half. The first outlet opened at Mumbai airport a year back and the second one has just opened. The overseas chain specializes in locating the cafes at airports, motorways and railway stations. Radhakrishna Foods also has 800 vending machines for coffee and is planning to add snack food vending.
